Phil Bulone, PhD, RMHCI, LOSS Team Director with MHA of Southeast FL, Michelle Hendrix-Swords, LOSS Team Leader of Atlas in Johnson County, Indiana, and Tricia Monroe, Suicide Postvention Program Manager within the Division of Suicide Research and Healing in the Comprehensive Injury Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin will present and discuss the importance of long-term support for loss survivors and suggestions for post-scene protocols:
Post-scene follow-up support including method of contact, timing, and duration,
Phone scripting ideas for initial and follow-up contacts with the newly bereaved,
Engaging loss survivors for the longer term to build a community of hope.
